According to Barbara Russell, program chairman, Gene Drake and his associates will present a very interesitng travelogue at the Senior Citizens Center at 7:30 p.m. Hostesses for the evening are Vaydes Brueck and Jo Smith. Members are urged to come out and bring a friend. will spend Exchange of Mineral Interests in Public and State Lands, Kane County, Utah Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management. It is proposed to exchange the mineral estate of the following described public lands under Section 206 of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976: T43S, R1E, SLB&M. Sec 14. W2NW, SW, W2SE; Sec 15, 26, 27, 34, 35, all; comprising 5,440 acres. In exchange for the mineral estate of these lands the U.S. will acquire the mineral estate of the following described lands from the State of Utah: T43S, R1W, SLB&M, Sec. 32 and 36. all; T44S, R1W, SLB&M, Sec. 2. all; T44S, R2W, SLB&M, Sec.2, all; comprising 2,560 acres. The mineral values of the lands to be exchanged are approximately equal on an acre per acre basis. Full equalization of values will be achieved by an adjustment in acreage of the public lands based on the values to be determined by a mineral appraisal. The purpose of the exchange is to acquire the mineral estate of the Utah State lands which are inholdings in the Paria CanyonVer-millio- n Cliffs Wilderness Area. The public lands described are hereby segregated from the operation of the federal mining laws pending disposition of this action.
