Coach Arlyn Hafen said: "We just couldnt get things going and they played well. We just kind of gave it to them. Coach Hafen was referring to seven interceptions and two fumbles, which at times were turned into scores for the host team. After one quarter of play it still looked like it may be a ball game with San Juan leading 7 0. In the second period Kanab came back with a score on a pass from d Klint Glover to Ladd Bunting. The PAT failed, but there was still hope. However, even hope was dashed when San Juan scored on the ensuing kickoff runback. In the second quarter the Broncos scored again on a quarterback sneak for 19 yards, and at halftime Kanab found themselves on the short end of the 23 6 stick. The hosts scored two more times in the third period while holding Kanab out of the end zone and the score with 12 minute remaining was 37 6. One more score and a two point conversion tallied the final score of 45-for the San Juan Bronco. 6 Thinking early of fjrtetmasf? NEW! Qolden Book Videos! Storybooks brought to life. This school has been a tremendous benefit to the special children in our community and could be to many more children who have developmental delays. The purpose of the Early Intervention Center is to identify children with handicaps and to begin therapy and training before entering the regular classroom. Some of the ways to identify children in need of special services is to look for physical delays such as the ability to hold head up, creeping on hands and knees, reaching for objects between the ages of one and ten months; standing, walking befveen the ages of one and two ye '.rs; following movements of the hands or objects in hand with eyes by the age of seven months; ability to build a tower with blocks by the age of one year; and ability to control drooling, drinking from cup, chew and swallow foods by age one and a half years. Other intellectual delays could be identified by looking for: the ability to use three word sentences by the age of two years; asking simple questions and refering to himself by name by age two years; and pointing and naming pictures and body parts by age two. These are just some of the developments to look for. If you have any questions as to your childs development, please dont hesitate to call the State Department of Social Services, Kanab Office DIFFERENT CHEERLEADERS were on hand Tuesday In preparations for the powder puff football game at Kanab High School as part of Homecoming Week.
