After several repairings, it just had to give way to the strong winds and weather. How we have admired its majesty flying in the wind anytime, day or night. As it began to wear, the time came to think of a replacement. We have a new flag, thanks to Mr. Kirby, who took the time to write to Senator Jake Garn to ask if he might be able to get one for us that had been flown over the United States Capitol Building. Right away, we had this new flag here all ready to take its place over the Center. Thanks to Steven Board-mag a ceremony was arranged and with the help of Robert Kropf and two other Boy Scouts, Marc and Cevin Cram, the new flag was raised while Steven played To The Colors on his bugle. While this was being done, our good friend Marlin was there for a picture. We appreciate Marlin and the Boy Scouts for making this event a more memorable occasion. Sherman Crosby, who has been ever ready to see that the flags keep flying as proudly they wave, was there to enjoy the event. We wish to say thanks to him also for his efforts in the cause. Among other things to mention are the events going on at the Center. We seem to be bursting at the seams. The building that once was so large is now being outgrown.
