Show I I SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS - Thursday, April 3, 1980 Kaibab Ind. News A GIRL Theres in the air-b- ut a feeling of Spring a darn cold one! Its a big breezy from the north and that always means sweaters for the Altonites but mittens and scarves and heavy winter coats for anyone that visits us! Always a special event in Alton is the blessing of a new baby. And once again, weve double pulled a lucky whammy. Both Dennis Heaton and Norman Roundy were the proud fathers participating in the events. A large group of family members were here to see Grandpa Merrill Heaton of Fredonia bless the infant son of Dennis and Teresa and give him the name of Taj William (Taj rhymes with page.) Visitors from Cedar City were the family members of Dennis and Irene Jones; from Fredonia were Darol and Georgia Heaton and family and Grandparents Merrill and Afton Heaton. Norman and Nancy Roundy and their children are so please with their new little addition to the family. The little guy has lots of dark hair and was blessed by his father and given the name Cloyd Willis. We are so happy to have these new children here and they have been fondly accepted by the community. Darol Heaton is a typical Grandpa who proudly displays his grandchildren's photos, and he reports that Ivan and Darolene Brown are doing fine. They are still in Trona, California where Ivan is working. He will be moving to Alaska for a new job soon and Darolene and children will be returning home. We hope it wont be long till they will be back in Alton building their dream home. We miss them! Coleen Heaton is home again, happy to have her other children around her again. The tiny little babyk Emily, is now in the Cedar City hospital where she is slowly making the weight gains and other developments that must come before she can be released to go home. We hope it will be soon. We have a new deacon in town! Mark Palmer just had his 12th birthday and now he joins Dane on the front row in the chapel.' Lorena Roundy attended the wedding party that was held in Blanding last week in honor of her granddaughter, Julie, and new grandson, Ed Hawkins. Dot and Ferrill Heaton enjoyed a fun work day at Dots sisters home, Lonna and Ver Rose, on Saturday. There was lots of action at the church when our windy Cub Scouts began racing their boats. Benjy Bladh was the winner but it was a winning evening for all who participated and watched. A treasure hunt completed the evening of fun. Spring is the name of the week this but game hand-carve- W d T E you spell it. Adios, Amigos! I N is how R Plans are underway in Fredonia for the annual Cystic n Fibrosis to be held on April 19.
