The game was two minutes old before Wade Coleman finally dropped in a bucket for Kanab's first score, but Jones scored eight points and the rest of his team hit six to put on a 14-lead at the first break. Kanab was playing a zone defense with Kris Glover permanently on Jones, while n the Tigers were in a defense. They hit only 3 of 10 during the second period. However, as it was Ben Johnson led the Cow bos with 10 points to a intermission advantage. The third period was another disastrous one for Kanab when the Tigers outdone them 14-- 6 with Jones potting 10 counters. In many areas of the state, individuals are removing snow from their private driveways and approaches and placing it on the highway This activity, according to the UDOTs policy on snow removal from state highways, is illegal, not to mention a dangerous practice which could lead to serious conseright-of-wa- quences to unsuspecting motorists using the highway. UDOT policy states that the removal of snow by State forces, except in emergencies, shall be confined to the limits of the highway The policy goes on to state: Removal of the normal snowfall and windrows on private road approaches, both on and off the highway right-of-wa- is a responsibili- right-of-wa- ty of the property owner.... and when clearing these approaches, the property owner shall not push or pile the snow onto the State roadway. In areas where curb and gutter exist, the normal parking area off the travel lane may be used for snow storage, but If it is desired to move the snow, it will be the responsibility of the city, 52-5- A A.
