Others were: Mr. and Mrs. Lar-ke- n and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Brown, from Las Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. Burke Heaton and children of Alpine; Mrs. Charles Brinkerhoff and children of Cedar Ctiy; Mrs. Dixie Andrus and children of St. George; Mr. and Mrs. Bud Phillips from Kays-ville- ; Mrs. Beth Roundy of Woods Cross; Mrs. Delsa Stevens of Salt Lake City; four children of Mrs. Colleen Weaver of Kaysville; Mrs. Zelda Brighten of Page and three children. Visitors here for July 4th included the following: Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Goulding and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Brinkerhoff and children and Mrs. Ila Mae Campbell and children of Glendale; Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Evans and family of Hurricane at the Thearon Crosby home. Mr. and Mrs. Garn Swapp of Kanab and their son Richard and family from Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Brent White and family of Hunter; Mr. and Mrs. Ken Willard and family of Washington Terrace; Mr. and Mrs. Delin Roundy and Miss Rayda son-in-la- Roundy at the Horace Roundy home. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Pugh; Mrs. La Verde McAllister and Mrs. Ann Glover of Kanab; Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Pugh of Woods Cross; Mr. and Mrs. Burton Pugh of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Alton Pugh of Glendale; Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Palmer and children of San Diego; Mrs. Bobbie Lewis and children of Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Johnson and chlidren of Layton and Mrs. Margaret Sorensen and children of Mt. Carmel were at the Allen Cox home. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Jones and three children of Murray visited at the Allen Cox home on the 4th. Mr. Jones taught school here 19 years ago. Other visitors were Mrs. Eulene Jones and children of Orderville; Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Swapp of St. George. The Fourth was enjoyed with a very large crowd. There was a program at 1:30 a.m. with sports at 2 p.m. and three dances held one on the tennis court and two in the hall. Word was received by Mrs. Laura Campbell of the wedding of two of her grandchildren. Steven L. Campbell and Sandra Little and Dione Campbell and Layne Clell Covington all of Henderson, Nev. Both plan St. George Temple weddings. Steven will wed the 15th and Dione the 17th of July. They are daughter and son of Dorian L. Campubell of Fairbanks, Alaska. Mr. LaMonte Anderson of Salt Lake City is a guest at Mrs. De-lil- a Heatons home. UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT Mr. and Mrs. Ferrill Heaton of Bicknell visited Mrs. Delila Heaton, his mother. Saturday there was a Heaton reunion in Rush Canyon for the family of Mrs. Persis E. Heaton with many descendants attending. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Major of California visited with Mrs. Twila Cox on Thursday. They had a family gathering at their ranch where they spend some time every summer. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Brooksby and children of Las Vegas spent the weekend at their cabin. class reunion was A held at the school grounds Saturday, July 1. These people graduated from Valley High in 1947. A reunion was held on Saturday July 1 at the Marden Brown home. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Palmer and visitors attended a Pugh reunion in Kanab on Saturday, July 1. Alton News Notes and Current Events Miss Cindy Howland, Kathy Heaton of Alpine and Allison Weaver of Kaysville are visiting at the Gerry Hoyt home. Mrs. Judith White and children of Hunter are visiting at the Horace Roundy home this week. The Bob Crosby family visited in Hurricane with the Kay and Doug Evans where their three daughters are visiting for a week. Mrs. Karen Crosby and Thearon Crosby visited there Tuesday. Glen Palmer of Salt Lake City, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Palmer is staying here with his grandmother, Mrs. Ella Palmer. Mrs. Amy Reese of Mesquite, Nev., is visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joann Campbell. She visited in Parowan with relatives. Mar Jean May, Laurie Burch-maBecky, Charlene and and Nancy Robinson of Overton, Nev., visited Sunday at the Allen Cox home with Burton and Barton Cox. They attended Church also. Barton and Burton spent Saturday at VT Park. Leona Heaton, of Moccasin, has been here at the Burke Soiensen home. A week ago her son Mont of St, George visited her. Visitors at the Arel Chamber-laihome have been Bradys, Steven and Kevin from Page, Ariz., and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Chamber-lai- n and son. The Glen Chamberlains recently moved to St. George. Glen has employment at the hospital there. At the B. P. Fishers have been, the Clayton Joneses (Sandra) and the Reed Fishers of northern Utah; Mrs. Larry (Janice) Esplin and children of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. David Fairchild and daughter, Becky, visited at the Perry Lamb home and atclass reunion tended a held Saturday. They live in Ceres, Calif. At the Arden Bairds were the LaMont Smiths of Bountiful, along with the Arden Bairds, a Persis Heaton reunion was held in Alton Saturday. Seems this is a time for reunions. The Elbum Sorensens spent the weekend in Junction to a reunion of Cleos folks. Visiting with the Orson Youngs and other family members were the EuGene and Spencer Young families of Salt Lake City. Janet Lamb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaNor Lamb, Sherrie Heyborne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Heyborne and Sherrie Hoyt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rollan Hoyt went to Altoona to visit the LaNor Lambs. Clinton Crofts is here visiting his grandparents the Harvey Crofts from Las Vegas, Nev. Leslie DeMille, son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. DeMille, received a mission call to the Northern Indian Mission in South Dakota. He leaves in August. The John Hoffer family (Melba Stevens) visited here. Marden Stark and son of Modesto, Calif., visited here, and in Fredonia. The Ron Lambs of Page, Ariz., were weekend visitors at the Farel Lamb home. The Neil were here the 4th. Visitors at the Osmer Lamb home were the Mardon Lambs s of California, and the Bob of northern Utah. Alan DeMille and Bp. and Mrs. Donald Atkinson went hiking in the high Uintahs. They were join-d- e by others in northern Utah. The Clare Ramsays visited at the F. M. Esplin home from their home in Tropic. Que Sorensen visited here with his grandparents, the B. H. Sorensens. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Salter and sons visited with the H. T. Salters in Mt. Carmel and the LaNard Johnsons. Visiting with the Henry Carrolls was their daughter, Madolyn, and family from Salt Lake City. At the Quinn Newbys have been two brothers and their families of Mrs. Newby, Don and Clark Campbell. Mrs. Fred Penney and boys went to Richfield to spend the 4th with her folks. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hart, Jr., of New Castle came to Alton Saturday for a class reunion and came and spent the night with Amy E. Crofts. She returned to New Castle with them to visit a few days. Baptized and confirmed members of the Church were Jean Esplin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vance Esplin, Annette Oman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Oman. Visiting here Saturday was Jim and Darin Ott and Jerry Glover of Kanab. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hoyt and superintendent Pratt or replaces Lark Flanigan. Saturday, August 5, is the new date set by Womens Club for its Mexican potluck at the county building, said Mrs. Fred party chairman. Ivan Goodall was expected to rest in a Las Vegas hospital for about a week, following a mild heart attack Friday during his and Mrs. Goodalls visit with son Frank in that town. The attack did no damage to the heart, and Godall was not in pain, said Mrs. Alwyn Goodall, daughter-in-law- . Ive seen the Darel and Warren Foote families in the vicinity. Its always good to see ole hometown folks. The Ervin Hoyts of California visited recently at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Hoyt. Eight out of 10 Fredonia high school graduates of 1962 showed up at their recent reunion to see how each ther had fared the past 10 years, said Carl Lukus, who helped round them up. Those at festivitiee numbered about 35, by time families and two former-classmaspecial guests were added. Space in the marketplace at Northern Coconino County fair will be free but limited to perhaps a dozen features, according to Mrs. Dewayne Morgan. Merchants are expected to show off their fanciest items. Businesses or individuals interested in the commercial, aspect of the fair are asked to reserve display space from Mrs. Morgan. These booths do not include food concessions which may be arranged with Mrs. Kezia Brooksby. Mrs. Veldon Judd appreciates volunteers and suggestions about the talent show for the fair. She particularly wants the limelight on the youngest and oldest performers she can find. Mae (Mrs. Norm) Cram, Ilene (Mrs. Vaughn) Anderson, and Miss Kay Button are Kanab artists whose work was displayed at Vermillion Hills Gems and Minerals in time for the grand opening. Craft exhibitors at the shop included J. R. Williams of Colorado City, who styles naughahyde handbaks; Mrs. Ann Williams of Colordo City, braided belts and crocheted doliy. Also, Mrs. Donald Van Gorder, macrame barrette; and Mrs. Ora Holmes, cardlehold-ers- . Prizes at the openng were won by Mrs. Caroline Carlley, Kelly Van Driel, and Margaret Williams, Colorado City. Mrs. Jay Jeffery invites inquiries from anyone interested in taking over as Tupperware representative in the area.
