Parcel post will be slower this year, according to Claud Glazier, Kanab Postmaster. Parcel post is put on the freight trains this year so you must allow much longer for your distant orders to come and for your distant parcels to arrive at their destination. You should be mailing your distant packages right now to assure their Christmas delivery, Mr. Glazier said. Please remember that your Christmas cards are going to cost 6c each this year. Buy cards that dont weigh over an ounce and seal them and put your return address on them then they will be forwarded and returned if undeliverable as addressed, he said. Mr. Glazier informed citizens that they should feel free to ask for any information needed in their mailing. Remember all packages must have a Zip Code on them. This is how we fix the postage charge. We have a Zip Code directory in the Post Office lob-- ! y for your use, he concluded. A lot of people find it very difficult to rub against the ritual, so to speak, and for them Christmas can be a depressing time of the year. Since the holiday pressures now begin to build up right after Halloween and last through New Years Eve, it is not hard to understand why some people mental allergies to develop Christmas. Dr. Cole says some people find it difficult to give in to the jolly spirit of Christmas, especially if their childhood yule celebrations were unhappy or if they fed forced into competing with well-know- n their neighbors in presents, orations and show. dec- It is interesting to note, she that the United States adds, seems to have outstripped other countries in the length, intensity and complexity of celebrating Christmas, and during the holidays, absolutely everyone must be happy, whether they want to be or not.
