Mr. Idaho, Hansen will serve his Wayne brother as best man. The bride to be has attended College of Southern Utah and Brigham Young University since graduation from Kanab schools. The prospective bridegroom is the son cf Mr. and Mrs. Noel J. Hansen, Salt Lake City, and has served an LDS mission in North New Zeland. He has been attending the University of Utah. Kanab Utah Kanab Post Office Receives Citation Of Merit Award, 20th A special Citation of Merit for cooperat'on in President John ons Natural Beauty Program will be presented June 21, 1968 at 10 am. to Kanab Post Office, Postmaster Claud M Glazier, said today. Postmaster Glazier will accept the award on behalf of the cit- izens of Kanab. Mr. Frank M. Anderson, assistant to the Regional Director of Denver, Colo., who will represent the Postmaster General said: Only those communities which have made a concerted effort to improve the appearance cf their post offices are recipients of the award. The citation is presented after the postal facility has received a superior rating in a very rigid inspection by postal officials from regional headquarters and reviewed carefully by hte Assistant Postmaster General for Facilities. Instruction is being given in the beginners, advance! beginners and intermediate swimmers courses. Junior and Senior life saving courses will start next Monday and Wednesday at 7 to 9 p.m. There is a small charge for these swimming instructions of 25 cents per lesson. This is used to pay the additional instructors needed for their time in teaching the classes. This is in addition to your regular season family or individual ticket. At the present time, all the classes are full, but we encourage you to continue signing up for instruction. When the present classes are completed, new groups will be scheduled. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, the pool will be open to those who are scheduled to take American Red Cross swimming instruction--. The regular swimming hours for the general public will be from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. except on Fridays and Saturdays when the ixxil will remain oien to 9 p.m. On Mondays and Wednesdays, the xk)1 will close at 7 p.m. to the general public. From 7 to 9 p.m. on MonJays and Wednesdays the pool will be closed to the general public but will be used to give instructions in Junior and Senior Life Saving. On Tue days and Thursdays, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. the pool will be open to adults only who are over 21 yeais of age, the pool being closed for those persons under 21. This will give the adults a chance to swim without the influence of the younger set. If enough adults sign up for swimming instruction it will be given at this time. The Utah Civic Ballet will open its second annual Zion Ballet Festival on July 5 in Springdale, gateway city to the park. The 35 member dance troupe will perform in the massive Zion Park Bowl, a natural amphitheater seating 2,500 per- sons. Meanwhile, the seventh annual Festival Utah Shakespearean opens July 15 in Cedar City, featuring young actors and ac- tresses from the best drama schools in the nation. Performances of "Merchant of Venice," "As You Like It, and Romeo and Juliet will be staged on alternating nights on an outdoor stage, an authentic reproduction of an old English tiring house." The Zion Ballet Festival pre miered last year in Zion National Park, playing to several thousands of ixasons during its run. The audiences were composed primarily of two-wee- tourists, representing 39 states and 13 foreign countries. It is jointly sponsored by the Utah Civic Ballet in Salt Lake City and the community of Spring-dale.
