M., on Wednesday January 19, 19(58. , f) BINGHAM CANYON MINE CLOSED TO PUBLIC Because Kennecotts $100,000,000 expansion pre moves into the west side of the Bingham Canyon Mine, the visitors observation point in this area will be closed to the public from December 6, 1965, to late January, 1906. During the construction period, no alternate point from which to view the mine will be available, and no public tours can be accommodated. Following completion of the expansion activity in this area, a temporary visitors observation point will be made available for approximately one month. The Company then will erect a permanent observation point. Kennecott regrets having to close the observation area even temporarily, because the Bingham Canyon Mine has proved to be one of Utahs most popular attractions.
