The State Road Commission of' Utah herewith advises all interested persons of proposed highway improvements on US Highway 89 and US Highway 89 Alternate in the vicinity of Kanab, Kane County, Utah. A description of the section of highway proposed for improvement is as follows: Beginning at the present junction of US 89 and US 89 Alternate in Kanab thence extending easterly in general direction of the, present road to improved section of road near Johnson Creek. Alternate line, beginning approximately 0.8 miles south of present toad junction of US 89 and US 89 Alternate thence connecting with line approximately 2.25; miles easterly and extending to near Johnson Creek. The governing officials of Kanab and of Kane County have been notified. A Public Hearing will be hld at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 1962, in the Kane County Courthouse, Kanab, Utah, to advise the citizens of the reasons for such proposed location and to hear matters pertaining to the economic effects of such proposed highway improvements.
