Four Day Filming Completed Here On Laramie Series A company of 35 actors, cameramen and technicians from Hollywood have been in Kanab for the past four days filming background material for Laramie episodes in color. The company arrived Sunday and early Monday morning, and in spite of some bad weather were able t complete filming by Thursday night. . John Smith and Robert Fuller, stars of Laramie, headed the list Filmof performers in ing took place at Paria, The Gap, east of Kanab; Robinson Canyon, and at Turkey Crossing, near the airport. Calvin Johnson was contact man for the company and helped on locations and securing accommodations and transportation. Quite, a number of local people worked during the four days as extras, drivers, wranglers and other jobs necessary for filming. . Social Security Fads and Figures Almost 12 million people 65 and over are now receiving social security benefits. Are you one of them? If not, should you be? In years past, most people over 65 couldnt receive any social security benefits if they earned more than $2,080 in a year. Thats changed now. Under the law as it now stands, a worker over 65 can have fairly substantial earnings and still receive some social security benefits for the year. How much can you earn and still receive benefits? Depends, on how much your benefit is and whether any of your dependents also qualify for benefits. Only one way to make sure you are not losing some benefits. If you are over 65, still working, and have never applied for social security, do it now. A Field Representative from the Social Security Office will be at the Courthouse on May 24 at 9:00 a.m. Due to bad weather the cookout or steak dinner had to be at the openinc of the Information Center in Kanab Wednesday night. Chamber officials said that the persons buying tickets should please bold on to them and the dinner will be served at a later date when the weather is better. post-acne- d Classes To Start May 28th On Self-H-elp Training Classes for the general public n the Medical Self-HelTraining Program will begin May 28 at 6 30 n.m. in the Kanab Elementary and Kanab High Schools according to Dr. Joseph Sannella, med- ical director.
