Mr. and Mrs. Garn Esplin, Mrs. Vilate Esplin and Mrs. Gwena-verAnderson went to Salt Lake for the wedding and reception. Roe was inducted into the Army October 24. He is now stationed at Camp Carson, Colorado. His wife is living with her folks in Farmington. Farmington, until Roe is stationed where she can join him. The program was: Talk e m Boy Scouts and their loaders participated in the first Kanab District Camping and Activities event of the new scout year at the Pink Coral Sand Dunes on Friday and Saturday, October 27 nd 28. The event was under the direction of Garn Willis, camping and activities chairman. In spite of the chilly wind, the scouts prepared their meals and participated in the activities planned and all attending had a good time. An obstacle course was laid out for the scouts to follow, using the compass. At each point of designation the scouts had to solve a first aid problem before they could proceed to the next station. This taught the boys how to use the compass as well as having various first aid problems to solve that might happen to them while in the out of doors. The District was well. represented by troops from Kanab South Ward, Kanab North, Orderville, and Glendale.
