Mr. fhurches has made his home in Tucson tor the past several months. Recently added - to the local staff of the US Forest Service is Frank Salomonsen, as Junior Forester. He' is a January graduate oF he University of Minnesota, at Minneapolis, and with Mrs. Salomonsen has established a home in Freodnia. Th Fredonia Womens Club recently held a business meeting, followed bv dessert served by Mesdames Neva Pratt and Mary Sturgill. Mrs. Edith Holmes president, presided at the business session and Mrs. Mary Lu Mitchell thanked all the members for the sdendid help in the recent March of Dimes, which the Club was in charge of. Others attending included Mrs. Barbara Riker, Jacob Lake as a guest, and Mesdames Eva Goodall, Donna Fprd, Zola Byrom and Oneita Lathim. The breakdowns of education levels follows a simlalr pattern: 69 percent of those with elementary school educations save stamps compared to an 82 percent finding for college-educate- d families. Dr. Beem reported that most of the survey respondents expressed favorable attitudes toward trading stamps; 82 percent of the women like them, and 66 percent of the men like them.. Dr. Beem reported that three out of four of all U. S. families save trading stamps (77 percent) . This means that approximately 40 million save them. The survey also shows that trading stamps are saved by 83 percent of families in the South Central area; 86 percent of families in the West; 73 percent of families in the East; 77 percent of families 71 .percent of in the farm and rural families.
