Ground was broken for the new building in December of 1957, with footings nearly all poured by New Years day 1958. Original estimated cost for construction was $360,000, but this cost will be exceeded because of unforseen alterations and additions to the original plans. The building includes 18,905 square feet of new construction and 5.396 square feet in the remodeled old Ward Chapel, which ' has been made into a Junior Sunday School with class rooms. The completed building includes two Bishops and Clerks offices. A Stake Presidents office and High Council room. There is a complete kitchen with two ranges, refrigerator and serving tables, complete for serving large gatherings. Also, there is 20 class rooms and a Babtismal Fond and the Junior!
