Concrete for the period cost an everage of $25,000.00 pef mile for slab alone. The new dustless asphaltic surfacing, for roads carrying up to 2,000 vehicles per day, could be built for $5,000 per mile or less. This method solved, for the time being at least, Utah's critical surfacing problem.
