Merlin of Hudson , Heights, New Jersey who has edited the official organ, ELBEETEE for nearly thirty (30) years and LB Tian Chris Jensen, General Chairman-and staff artist of the Salt Lake City Tribune, the Convention promises to be a huge success for both those attending and the merchants and townspeople of Kanab, Reservations are coming In now- from as far away as Puerto Rico, Canada, Pennsylvania, Maine, Illinois, Missouri, New. York, Michigan, California and it is expected that most of the states will be represented by one or more members. Vern Will-et- s of New York City formerly of Salt Lake City is with Arne Ritari, the spark-plufor Canada. Hubert F. Lee of Atlantic, Georgia; Elbert Souby, Chicago; William D. Hoting and Willard Loughkin for California; Franklin Miller, Denver; Iplger Henriksen, Colorado; Elmer Snider,. Illinois; Joseph Kahane, Brooklyn, N. Y.; and the writer are only a few of the boosters for the Kanab Convention. LBTian Harry Tombak of Los Angeles will edit and print the Souvenir Program w'hile Rev. Edward Lathrop of Mount Moriah, Missouri will serve as Chaplain. Sheriff Cecil Richardson of Flagstaff, Arizona and Clayton Smith, a former resident of Kanab will be among the principal speakers at the banquet. Members attending this coming August Convention will reach Kanab via every means of transor covportation except ered wagon. Many plan to drive their own cars and camp out the way. while others will take to the air and trains.
