( By Ramona Attended The 322nd Quarterly Stake Conference was held last Saturday night and Sunday, February 21 and 22 in the Kanab Cnapei. President Daniel S. Frost presided and, conducted both meetings. Bishop Joseph L Wirthlin, presiding bishop of the church, was unable to attend as orginal-l- y planned, because of illness. However, dispite the absence of the representative, from Church headquarters, a very spirtual meeting was had. Subjects of the talks included missionary work the meaning of the priesthood in the lives of the members of the church, the effect of testimonies an our lives aAjthe blessings obtained by those in the church. Many of the speakers were called out of the audience and all of them responded very well with their talks. Those who took part in the Saturday night meeting was Brother and Sister Lawrence n and Brother and Sister Hans Sorensen of the Orderville Ward, and Brother Hazen Harris of the Glendale Ward, with T. LaVoy Esplin of the St. George Stake High Council being the concluding speaker. Brother Esplin and his wife. Phoebe, are well known here, having lived here for about 11 years. They went first to Hurricane, then on to Cedar, and from there to Dixie, and were back later on that afternoon. Some of the people in the exchang assembly were: Velma Edwards, Pat Sampson and Alana Gifford, who sang. Richard Dame, David Swapp, Walter Hamblin, and Jerry Banks who did an army skitt. Rose Anh Tietjen, Catheren Roundy, and Losilte Haycock, who represented the sophmore class sang also. Judy Lewis did a hula dance, and Roger Jameson did a reading. The K. II. S.
