So what if your mascot is a Cat? An interesting but pointless riddle was solved Tuesday as Bountiful and Woods Cross met up for a game w hich more or less decided the Region Five soccer title. 'lTie answer, the Wildcats found out, was two big black dogs that got loose from their owner and ran rampant all over the held midway thiough the first half. It might have been a welcome distraction Irom what was otherwise a game that mitallv lacked any real momentum with both teams reiving on defense as opposed to attacking on ollense. But after the dogs lound a new home on the neighboring baseball field, play resumed and the Wildcats found just how unlucky their new animal friends could be. Bountilul was victorious 4- - One big check Sam's Club rerpesentatives Lisa Lomax and Vicki Graham present parent Brad Bubak and Layton baseball coach Rob Ferneau with a check for $1000, the prize money for Scoreless well into the half. Bountiful finally figured out a way to find some offense. On a rare otfensive attack, a perfectly timed cross to Brave Sam Berg put captain as he popped Bountiful up the ball to the back of the net on the header. Berg, just five minutes later, this time used his speed to a communtity service award the team won. o Upcoming sports schedules Baseball goalkeeper Tyler Jones knocks away a shot on goal in the Braves' Woods Cross Tuesday afternoon.
