At that point he tried to call his father, but his cell phone kept cutting out. due to the poor reception up the canyon, according to Sheriffs Lt Brad Wilcox After several attempts at talking to his son, Knoles father called the Sheriff s Office. Search and rescue crew's, several Centerville police officers and a LifeFlight helicopter aided in the search Knoles was found about 12 30 a m Knoles was taken to Davis Hospital and Medical Center with minor injuries and also received a mental evaluation. 20-ye- ar i i i n Cities work to ji s atQust Boundaries - FARMINGTON City managers and planners from Farmington and Centerville are continuing their efforts at adjusting the common boundary line between the two cities The point of contact lies within the Tuscany Cove development which is on the boundary between Centerville and Farmington. The boundary adjustments being discussed only affect the areas east of 200 East or Highway 10b. The department made the request late last week, saying that hundreds of bird species are are known to carry the West Nile virus, which is expected to make its first appearance m Utah this summer Birds most likely to carry the virus are crows, blackbirds and blue jays, but residents finding dead crows, blackbirds blue jays, hawks or owls, should contact the Division of Environmental Health at 451-3- 2 According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, West Nile has been confirmed in 44 of the 48 continen- - tal United States and is expected in Utah this year The virus can be spread to humans through mosquitoes that interact between horses and mosquitoes West Nile killed 277 Americans in 2002 and as of March 25, the number of cases in the U S stood at 4.161 There is no vaccine or treatment approved for humans at this time According to Lewis Garrett director of Davis the County Health Department, human illness from the virus is rare, but symptoms include a high fever, severe headache and stiff neck. Anyone experiencing those symptoms should call their health care provider immediately Though anyone can be infected and become ill, fwer than percent of those infected develop severe conditions." Garrett said.
