Baseball is topic today in faculty honor lecture "The i:xx;bleday Myth and the Baseball Hall of Fame" will be addressed by James A Vlasich, SUU associate professor of behavioral and social sciences, at SUU' s Distinguished Faculty Honor Lecrure on Dec. 3. The lecru:re, which is the final Convocation of fall quarter, will take place at 11 a.m. in the Auditorium. The public is invited to attend the reception for Vlasich, from 2-4 p.m. in the Tanner Center for Human Values, located in the Braithwaite Llberal Arts Center. Free copies of Vlasich's lecrure will be available at the reception. According to Vlasich, his lecture topic covers the origination, perpetuation and impact of"the Doubleday myth ... My lecture will focus on how the Doubleday story was initiated and how it became institutionalized through the creation of the Hall of Fame,'' Vlasich said.
