Often, too, they fall into the positive category- " I WILL stud y more," o r " I WILL pay my bills on time." Participate fully in the learning process and insist that this institution's faculty members do the same. Likewise, take advantage of the extracurricular dollars you are putting out, a nd watch for the many and varied activities and events sponsored by student government with your money. It was pretty-Smith and Wesson Model 66, .357 Magnum, 4" chrome barrel. walnu1 grip- and I was a good shot. I had a bullet-proof vest, too. I carried that gun during the 10 years I worked as a seasonal law enforcement officer for the National Park Service in Yosemite and Grand T eton Na1ional Parks. I needed it because most of hte people I met (drunks, wife-beaters , dope dealers, car theives, excaped felons and normal family-type tourists) had firearms, too. But of all the people ( .met, over all those years, not one citizen had really thought about what it means to own a gun "for protection." Before you buy a gun, you ought to ask yourself some questions: • Do you know how to keep someone else from grabbing the __g:~m?
