Christensen. The exhibit opens Monday , June 2; in the Randall L. Jones Theatre lobby and will feature 40 original sketches and oil paintings created for Christensen's new book of the same title. Artwork will go on sale on July 6 at 6 p.m. a part of the FestivaJ's annual invitational fund-rai ing gala. Christen en will be the featured guest spe-.tker at tbe event and will be o n hand to introduce three original pieces .• James C. Christensen to be auctioned later that evening. Participant at the Festival's fund-raising event will have the opportunity to purcha e the original a.r t until 8 p.m .• after which the artwork will be available to collectors worldwide through the Greenwich Workshop and Utah Shakespearean Festival websites. Chri tensen will a1 o be available for a public signing event on Saturday , July 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Fe tival's Randall L. Jone Theatre. "Jame has been part of the Festival family for . many, many years," said Fred C. Adams. founder and executive producer of the Utah hake pearean Fe tiva1. "We' re thrilled that an artist of his caliber is so willing to share his talent with us. We're absolutely delighted with the 'All the World':. a cage' painting he created to help celebrate our 40th anniversary as welJ as all of his other magical creations." Jame C. Christensen wa born in Culver ity, Calif , and received his formal art education from Brigham Young University and niversity. of California at Los Angeles. He ha had one-man hows aero the country and has been the recipient of numerous awards. His books. include, A Journey of the Imagination,Voyage of the Bas cu, Rhymes and Reason and The Per onal Illuminations book . He recently retired as profe or of an at BYU, and lives in Orem, Utah.
