Coach Bill !;:vans announced. The Thunderbirds received Nlls from Jordan Mulford, a 5-foot-9, 160-pound point guard from Utah Valley State and Kevin Henry, a 6-foot-4, 200 pound forward from Cochise County College. Mulfor,d, a graduate of Salt Lake City's Granger High School, is averaging 14.2 points and 4.7 rebounds per game for the Wolver1nes this season. He leads the team in scoring and has a team-high 11 steals as well. As a freshman in 1997-98 he set a UVSC record when he hit 92 percent of his free throws. He also averaged 11 .9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists his freshman year before departing for an LOS church mission. As a high school senior, Mulford was Utah's secondleading scorer. averaging 22.6 points per game to earn all-state recognition in basketball as well as in football. Henry, a native of Hobbs, N.M., averaged 10.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 57 percent from the field last year at Cochise. Known as a slasher, Henrywas rated as one of the top junior college prospects in America by JuCo Junction this year. "We're really happy to have signed bbth these players during the early signing period," Evans said. •Jordan Mulford epitomizes what we want to be all about. He's a great shooter, a terrific kid, a good student and he has the kind of tenacity and toughness we like in a basketball player." "Kevin is also a great kid from a good program and a great high school program ," Evans continued.
