Show -- THE UNIVERSITY JOURNAL• SOUTHERN UTAH UNIVERSITY• MONDAY, APRIL 27, 1998 New faculty scholarly works on display in Sherratt Library Nine members of the SUU faculty have been selected for recognition at the universit y for their scholarly achievement during the past year. Published work by the honorees was reviewed by peers within their respective disciplines and judged to be superior, according to Earl Mulderin k, assistnnt professor of history and chair of the scholarly achievement committee. " Together, t hese works stand out for their breadth of subject matter and for their publication in journals and books with international circulations," Mulderink said. T he works earning recognition w ill be on display in the'Gerald R. Sherratt Library through Thursday. They will then be bound and housed in the Library's Special Collections area. Faculty members earning scholarly achievement recognition for works during 1997 include: Idir Azouz, assistant professor of engineering; Rhead S. Bowma n, professor of managerial economics; Dick L. Carlson, assistant professor of Spanish; and Michael P. Donovan, professor of biology. Others are: S.S. Moorty, professor of English; Craig Mort.ison, associate professor of physical education; E. Jean Reeve, associate professor of physical ed ucation; Will iam :L. Rom ey, assistant professor of biology·; and Terry D . Testing Evolutionary Predictions of Positional Effects," Animal Groups in Three Dimensions.
