started the meeting discussing attitude and dedication toward the team Coach Jenson said There are only winners and losers He also said that a wrestler should make wrestling number one He said one will have to decide what is more important a job oi wrestling Coach Jenson by Coach Jenson said he needs at least three people in each weight category This way he can make up a varsity, junior varsity, and sophomore team Coach Jenson has 44 wrestlers now on the team seven of which are seniors, 15 are jumoi s, and 22 of them are sophomores These included hair, fingernails, being clean shaven shysically clean and staying He then went over the wrestler diet and eating habits, foods to avoid and suggested foods Following that, he explained about the weight cards Jenson said that a wrestler must come to practice every evening Coach so that they will not miss out on anything He stated that a wrestler would either help the team or he would hurt it After going over expenses and the importance of the parents enthusiasm and support, he opened up the meeting for questions team is fighting for third place in Region One competition They have qualified for the Utah State tourney which few weeks ago to select all region offensive and defensive first and second unit teams Layton and Bountiful joint., placed seven men on both the offensive and defensive units Layton furnished of the offensive first stringers, and almost half of the defensive elite Bountiful athletes found their names on one third of the offensive team Six of the Region One Teams picked up the balance of the first team honors, and half of the second team slots From the grapevine I learned that there was a lot of politicing, by several of our southern neighbors I find it hard to believe that Bountiful and Layton were such a dominating force in Region One Bonneville, the hard luck team of the league, had some great athletes on their roster They held Bountiful and Lavton to six points, and could very easily have beaten both teams They managed to get three men on the 47 man honor roll Layton, by contrast had 13 Weber High School placed tnree men on the 47 man roster, and all of them were SECOND STRING defensive players Quarterback Steve Trawick was left out alltogether, yet he led the league in passing (60 percent completions), passed for 1,200 yard s and threw a dozen touchdown passes His
