CliMi'lii'ki will .in opportunity to view the Army 's role in America's missile technology in a new public exhibit, scheduled for show ing in Clearfield on Aug I and 10 White Sands Provided N M . the only Missile Ranj h,ic Clearfield man receives award Walker of Clearfield has received an Performance Outstanding Rating at ceremonies at Hill Air Force Base. He was cited for his job as an aircraft mechanic in the Maintenance Directorate. Mr. Walker is a son of Mrs. Monte Zindell of Willard and Ray A. Walker of Salt Lake City. The award winner and his wife Roberta have three children. Mrs. Walker is a daughter of Mrs. Florence L. Kite of Clearfield. Robert W. 1L-W- Delbert link in the Department of Defenses research, development, test and evaluation programs. This mobile unit, part of the Armys 200th anniversary observance and the United States Bicentennial, will unfold its story of White Sands in sight and sound using the latest audio-visuequipment at the Clearfield Job Corps Center. The exhibit is scheduled to be open from 10 a.m. until 9 p m. and a ramp is provided for the handicapped. Visitors, in addition to being exposed to the history of rocketry and the U.S. Beverly Kemp and children are visiting in Roy for a few days with her parents, the Carl Rackers. Mrs. Emma Baker has been in California visiting with a sister for a while. Marilyn Hargis has been in the hospital where she was treated for an illness. She is home now and feeling better. The Abiiah Childs have had their son and his family from Idaho staying with them at their home for a few days. Lloyd Foster has spent a week in Wisconsin on TDY, with his job. White Sands Missile Range, earths atmosphere. Contemporary missile components and scientific equipment will also be on display. The White Sands Missile Range exhibit has already stopped at St. George, and Orem. The vans next stop will be Bountiful, and afterwards it will be at Dugway Proving Ground. They have had their daughter Brenda and her children here with them for a week. They live in California. Coming all the way from Haarlem, Netherlands were Mr. and Mrs. Piet Proper. They came to visit with the Bert Vissers. Mr. Proper is Mrs. Vissers brother. The City. Vissers took their guests on many sightseeing trips while they were here. A special event honored the visitors. A neighborhood social and supper was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Thompson, and later, the group went to the Ben DeCorso home for visiting. Included in the group were Mr. and Mrs. Tony Perfilio, Mr. and Mrs. Ben DeCorso, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Herbert, Mr. and Mrs. Stan McCallister, Mr. and Mrs. Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Visser, and the guests of honor. A baby boy has been born July 30 to Mark and Cathy Bard well. They now have a boy and two girls in their family. Rebecca and Wayne Thompson have a baby girl. This is the young couples first child. Tex and Lynette Hancock, who formerly lived in Roy, but are now stationed in Pennsylvania with the Air Force, are here on leave. They are staying with relatives, in Ogden, but have spent quite a bit of time in renewing acquaintances Roy. A 17 day bus tour to the LDS Hill Cumorah Pageant was a most exciting event for Ralph and Doreen Bateman. She was born at McKay Hospital on July 30. Mrs. Lillian Sullivan, of South Ogden, who passed away on Sunday, was the mother of Mrs. Dean (Neta) Daily of Roy. Mrs. Wanda P. Taylor, of Ogden died last Thursday after a long illness. Mrs. Taylor was the sister of Blaine Parsons of Roy, and had earlier lived in Plain u Jensen and daughter Joyce and son Bruce, are just back from a delightful trip in Canada.
