Mr. Hilton was presented the Golden Spike Country Music Hall of Fame Award by Dave B Smith, staff announcer of KSVN Radio. Mr. Hilton was cited for giving Utah the best shows possible and offering top Utah talent the opportunity of appearing on stage with tertainers favorite; Terry Stafford, s Atlantic Records star; Billy Armstrong, nationally known concert famous Mrs. Hazel E founder-p- of Golden Spike resident super-Texa- Park, en- Country Western Round Up of Utah was also elected to the Hall of Fame. This busy director of many shows for Nashville artists has traveled some 20,000 miles representing Utah violenist and best country fiddler; and Bobby G. Rice, Nashville circuit star and G R.T. recording artist Their Utah producer, Henry writer-produc- band, traveling over 6,000 miles to attend meetings and perform; assisting other artists and doing several years of bioadcasts dedicated to country music. Mr. Smith and Mr. Chamberlain were not present when the picture was taken during the appearance of the Nashville country stars This is a great month for show biz in Utah with the one and only Milton Berle at WSC Thursday at noon, the show is free and the public invited Anne Murray will be on stage in one of her great performances Thursday at 8 talent, producing shows for veterans hospitals, patriotic events and discovering Utah talent who have appeared with many nationally known stars Two other Utahns were elected to the Golden Spike Country Music Hall of Fame, Bill M Smith of Washington Terrace, who served as president ot GSCW RBF for two years, is the only representative to be named a member of that organization, serves as an active board member and Emlife-tim- e Chamberlain, Lucky nationally known old-tim- e fiddler from Tooele won his Hall of Fame award through his many appearances on benefit shows, sometimes perform ng as a one man Hilton will present Charley Pride and CMA top vocalist of the nation, Ronnie Milsap at the Salt Palace Sat. While Nashville's CMA was handing out lop awards to Countrys greatest artists, Utah was presenting some well chosen tributes to four Utahns who have distinguished themselves in country music.
