Young Anderson is a member of Troop 188 in the Sunset 3rd LDS Ward. He has served as patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader and is now serving as senior patrol leader. He is a high honor roll student at Sunset Junior High School. His church activities include 2nd and 1st counselor in the deacons quorum. H.G. Hammon was hospitalized last Sunday for surgery. Selective Service Young men still must register Even though draft calls have ended, the Selective Service System will remain in a standby status, and all young men in the state will still have the of responsibility registering with their local board or local Selective Service registrars, according to Col. Delmore E. John, Acting State Director for Selective Service in Utah. Col. John declared that the Selective Service Act wi'l still require young men to register within 30 days before or 30 days after reaching age 18. Local draft boards will coninue to process some of these young men. The registration, and classification lottery provisions of the Selective Service Act will remain in force, and although the induction authority will be terminated, young men still have legal Rath Pork obligations under the Draft Law.
