Show Sunset sisters win trophies SUNSET An avid interest in tennis paid off recently for female members of the Phil Presque's family in trophies from tennis tournaments Mr. Fresques, who plays well too, claims honors as coach. In the Wolfes meet, Beverly who is 16 was first in open singles, Kathy, 19, first in open singles women. Playing together in doubles they took Weber names director John Peterson, a veteran of years of news and public relations work, has been 12 named sports information director at Weber State College. Peterson replaces Don Spainhower who recently became Director of College Relations at Weber. The new sports publicity director has a varied and interesting background in V Q. first ir. open womens doubles. Cathy and Brad Lowe took first in open mixed doubles. There were between 100 and 150 participants in this event from Mt. Eyrie Racquet Club, Bngham City and Grantsville. In all they have about 40 trophies. Kathy will be a junior at the University of Utah this year, she will have her registered upon degree nursing graduation. Beverly is a junior at Clearfield High. Mrs. Fresques (Doris) teaches at Doxey School here in Sunset. Mr. Fresques works at his barber shop which is located in Sunset also. He has background as an athlete at BYU High and Dixie His parents reside in Provo, and his wife, the former Norma Kelley, is from Roy The couple has three children. Offensively Lonnie Bullard tallied nearly 170 yards from pass receiving, punt fielding and running. He proved that he could be one of the best backs in the state as Coach Jacklin vows. Quarterback Clark Smith threw two TD passes to also put in a fine show. "he Roy defense was a bit shaky at first, but settled down to produce a big obstacle to BHS. Coach Jacklin had high praise for that defensive unit. Jacklin summed it up by saying, We made fewer mistakes and thus won the game. This precludes the use of aircraft in the pursuit of big game or transporting the hunter directly from the airport to the hunting area. Big game which has been legally taken may be transported within the state by someone other than the license holder, provided the animal is tran- sporting the animal. Any person entering private property which is properly posted without written permission of the owner or person in charge will be guilty of a misdemeanor. Having a fair knowledge of the HHS Huskies, Roy Coach Ernie Jacklin, is fearful of the traditional Hillcrest passing attack. I went to college with Raynor Pierce, their coach, and he always loved to pass. I understand that they lost some key players from last year, but also have some very experienced men back. Well have to work on our pass defense and get set for a big one, is how Jacklin talked about tomorrows game. A big win for Roy could set them up for a fantastic season, but a loss could humble them into a better squad. It is predicted that doves will be more widely scattered than in other years because of better forage conditions brought on by greater precipitation earlier this year. Morning indicate Dove surveys breeding populations are near average numbers. Best areas to hunt are rangelands bordering dry form areas and inversely, poorest areas are irrigated croplands.
