However, if you enter the hospital for a minor operation, as I did, you are in for a few surprises. I went to the hospital on a Friday for minor knee surgery. I was not sick nor was I in much pain. I was called into admitting and asked to give my life history and the medical history of all my ancestors . Then, after signing about 642 forms, I was taken to my room. I was told to get undressed and get into bed. TTiis seemed a little foolish at two in the afternoon, but I con- - sen ted. Fifteen minutes later a nurse came into ttie room pushing a cart full of glass tubes. Mir. Porter? she asked. Ticket purchasers will also participate in over 100 door prizes as well as receiving free tickets to an upcoming Lagoon Rodeo, Lagoon Demolition Derby and an Ogden Dodgers baseball game. They had to remain in the hospital until they gamed more weight. They were able to bring one of them home on Monday, but the other one will have to stay for about two more weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hurst spent the weekend in the Flaming Gorge area. Mrs. Robert Neeley was hostess at her home on Wednesday for the Ruth Circle of the First Presbyterian Church. On the same day, Mrs. James Orr entertained the Deborah Circle at her home. Donna Green has been in the hospital where she had surgery on her foot. Annie Pond who has been in the hospital is home now and feeling much better. Mr. and Mrs Allen Hall are parents of a baby girl born April 30. They now have a boy and a gir! in their family Clark Crockett is still in St. Benedicts hospital where he is being treated for injuries received in an accident about a week ago. He should be home next week. Myma Wright has been in the hospital again but is home now and getting along quite well. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Medell are parents of a baby boy who arrived May 2. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Price of Dugway, and formerly of Roy, are parents of a baby girl born April 30. Mrs. Price is the former Janet Thurgood. A baby boy arrived May 3 to Mr. and Mrs. Jon Barrie. We express our sympathy to Legrand Wahlstrom on the death of his sister Mrs. Wanda Higgs of Clearfield, who died last week after a short illness. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Crouch drove to Albuqurque, N. M. last week for a few days. They attended the wedding of Mr. Crouchs brother while they were there. ADMIRING their Purple Heart Medal are Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Rogers of Clinton. Michael Daley recently received the medal after having been wounded three years ago in Vietnam. Daley, has only recently received his purple heart medal after having been wounded three years ago while serving in Vietnam. Mr. Daley was stationed in Vietnam for 18 months as a demolition specialist. After CSfeyejisans Last Wednesday night, the Roy Kiwanis Club met for their weekly meeting. The time was 7:30 p.m. at Pauls Blue Ox Restaurant in Roy. They set aside next Wednesday night May 9 a Ladies night honoring all Mothers. Two weeks from tonite on the 16th of May, the Roy Kiwanis club will have their first Gold Watch of the new season. On this night the members have an especially fine time golfing. After the golf tournament, the club members meet at Vans Blue Ox Mr. Daley is the son of Mr and Mrs. Raymond J Daley formerly of Sunset, now of Cheye me, Wyoming. completing his second tour of duty there, he was stationed in Hanau, Germany. He received an honorable discharge in March, 1972. The medal, which has his name inscribed on it, reached Mr. Daley last week at his Salt Lake City home. Keith also mentioned that they take tee times on weekends and weekdays in the afternoons and evenings for everyones convenience chairman, introduced the guest speaker for the evening. He was Gayle Parcel, Golt Professional at the Royal Greens golf course in Roy. Gayle told about having the new club house completed. He also told the club that Evan Ray is the owner of the course and he also designed most of it with some help from Keith another Downs, golf professional.
