Clark, 228 E. 3bo S., Clearfield, announce the engagement and forthcomof their ing marriage daughter, Patricia to Scott T. Murray, son of Mr. and Mrs. Evan G. Murray of West Point. Mr. Valencia is a son of Mi. and Mrs. Onofre Valencia 3395 Adams, Ogden. The newlyweds exchanged vows Saturday in a Mass performed at Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at Hill Air Force Base with Father John and Father John Ko-kofficiating. Following the ceremony the young couple was honored at a dinner dance in the Officers Club. The bride was lovely in a full length gown of silk organza over delustered satin. It was styled with empire bodice of Ventian lace and full Juliet sleeves gathered to the matching lace cuffs. Mrs. Michael Mead at Co. Miss Clark is employed as a Vanda Beauty counselor. No date has been set for the wedding. To use butter or margarine, decrease milk to 1 cup. Sift flour with baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and ginger. Cream shortening. Gradually add sugar: cream until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. Blend in vanilla. Alternately add flour mixture and milk, a small amountata time, beating after each addition until smooth. Fold in crushed oat Hakes. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks will form, then carefully fold into batter. Pour into two layer pans which have been greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes, or until cake tester inserted into center come out clean. Cool in pans 10 minutes; then remove from pans and finish cooling on racks. Split each cake layer to make 4 thin layers. Fill and frost. Dec- Spicy Sea roam Frosting 2 egg whites cups firmly packed brown sugar 14 teaspoon cinnamo.i 1 teaspoon vanilla Combine whites, egg sugar, cinnamon, ginger, salt, and water in top of double boiler. Beat with electric mixer or rotary beater until thoroughly mixed about 1 minute. Place over boiling waivT and beat constantly at high speed of electric mixer or with rotary beater until frosting stands in stiff peaks--abo7 minutes. (Stir frosting up from bottom and sides of pan ocwith rubber . casionally scraper, spatula, spoon.) Remove from boiling water. For a smooth and satiny frosting, pour at once into a large bowl for final beating. Add vanilla and beat until thick enough to spread, about 1 minute. Mrs. Allie Freestone was born April 18, 1902 in Kamas to Robert Ledrue and Ruth Burbidge King. Mrs. Freestone worked at Hill Field during WWII. She has served in the Ward Primary Presidency, as Ward Relief Society President in the Relief Society Presidency of the Lakeview and Weber Stakes, on the old folks committee and Ward sleeves and high collar.
