Dick has already left for duty in the Pacific area which will include Hong Kong, Hawaii and possibly Vietnam. His wife Pamela, will remain in Roy with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Charlton until her husband is discharged in Octo- friends of Debbie Steed, assisting at her wedding reception at the Steed home in Clearfield Friday evening. Miss Steed is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Steed and was married in the Salt Lake Temple Friday to Dr. Louis Allan Moench of Salt Lake City. The monthly meeting for Cub Pack 314 was held June 23 at the Sunset City Park. Awards were presented to the boys afterwhich a picnic supper of hot dogs, baked beans and all the trimmings were served to approximately 75 attending. Games were then played under the direction of the den mothers. The following awards were presented: Jody Stamback and Tommy Rock, forrester; Scott Wallace, silver arrow; Greg Vernon, gold arrow; Billy Knight, Weblo; Gary Miller, bear, gold arrow and silver arrow. The theme for July is Outdoor USA andarrangments are being made for an excursion. In August plans are being made for a swimming party with the scouts and their fathers participating. June 16 the scouts and leaders took a tour of the fire station in Ogden. This proved very interesting to the boys to be able to see the various types of equipment used to fight ber. Burt Lucas of Alemeda, Calif., visited here with the Pete Kerschers last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Wallace of Tracy, Calif., their children Mark and DeAnn have been visiting here with Mr. Wallaces parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Wallace. They spent several days up South Fork, Camp relaxing. Thomas and Ellen Bevan have a new son, bom June 21. A former Sunset resident, Lt. Gary Roy Stephens, son of Mrs. Belva G. Hickman, now of Ogden, has received his wings from the U.S. Army Aviation School at Ft. Rucker, Ala. A graduate of the Army Engineer Officer Candidate School Lt. Stephens has been assigned to the Republic of Vietnam. The lieutenant graduated from BYU and studied with the American Institute of Banking in Los Angeles, Calif. He also served an LDS Mission in the Netherlands. His father lost his life there during World War 11. He is married to the former Annette Allen of Bell Gardens Calif. They have one daughter. Miss Denise Sly was among Haw-tho- sorority sisters re Ruth Beverly Andreason will be in charge of the Relief Society homemaking meeting July 6.
