The seminars, beginning at 7:30 p.m., are being presented by the Social M inistry Committee of the church with George Cannon of the Job Corps as advisor for the series. The seminars will deal the basic facts of drugs discussion of the reasons young people and adults (& with and why turn to drugs. There will be no charge for the seminars and the public is encouraged to attend. Roy Jensen, Principal Gayle A. Stevenson and Allen look on. Mr. Benton is going to present the Balancer to the Chemistry Department to help with the measuring of small chemical amounts, because in earth science there isnt much use for such a delicate machine. After talking to James Beck, head ot the Science Department, you can understand the usefulness of this balancer. This machine is a real asset to help measure minute amounts in a less time consuming degree. Its easy to learn how to operate this machine, an ordinary student is able to use it. A-Chemistry students will start using this instrument very soon. It has been used a few times since it was given to the depaitment by Mr. Beck and his lab assis- the instrument to Mr. Benton who said after the presentation, "I didnt know Id won until they brought it intomj room and told me that my name had been the one that was drawn from the box." Businessmen are reminded that when they prepare their contracts for snow removal of parking lots for the winter season that remember that all sidewalks must be kept clear also. City officials made the request noting that last year there were several complaints that snow was piled on sidewalks in the business areas. Guidance Library Mrs. Zobell is in charge of the new guidance library. This library is a section for the purpose of invetigating different careers and vocations. They have books, tapes and filmstrips and movies, on any career a student would be interested in pursuing.
