It was a successful evening and many awards were given. Pauline Tesch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Tesch returned home recently from her mission in the Eastern States. Pauline gave a report of her mission pertences Nov. 28, Elder Micheal L. Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. of Manhattan Beach, Thomps Calif., has been called to serve in the Central American mission. Elder Thompson was honored at an open house at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alma L. Ellis of Riverdale on Sunday, Micheal graduated from Mira Costra High School and has been attending El Camino College in Los Angeles, Calif. He is a graduate Of the Institute of Religion at El Camino and has received many individual awards. He will complete the 12 week language course at Brigham Young Uni-versity before leaving for El Sal-vodor and Guatemala. John E. Thompson, a brother, was also honored at the open house. He has recently returned from the Mexican Mission and is currently attending BYU. Both mlssionaires were honored at a combination farewell and wel-come home in the Manhattan Bead! ward Nov. 2L Elder Brent Ellis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Ellis has received his call to serve in the Brazil- lan Mission. Brent Is a grand- eon of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Ellis. . Mr. and Mrs. Golden A. Bing- ham recently returned from a trip to Los Angeles, Calif. The trip Included both business and pleasure. Mr. Bingham attended Provisioning Conference for Hill ABB. Mr. and Mrs. Bingham at-haded several live television toured Universal Movie show Studios, visited the new Music Center and Art Museum, aid cal- led upon relatives.
