Charmayne Jeppson will lead the discusssion and it is sure to be interesting so plan to be there. SEVENTH WARD There was soma reorganization in the bishopric last Sunday evening. Douglas G. S. Hubbard was released as second counselor due to illness. Sustained as the new second counselor was Dean Calvin Odenwalder. Presidents Henry A. Matis, Newell R. Budge, and George C. Reimschussel were present at the meeting to take care o the business. Speaker for the evening was Brett Palmer who recently returned from the Hong Kong mission. He gave a very interesting talk. Ihe young marrieds group met Sunday evening after Sacrament meeting at the home of Mr. arid Mrs. Donald Jensen for their home study meeting. Bishop Howard Bott was th speaker. Choir practices are being held again in preparation for ward conference. Anyone interested in singing with the group should contact Joyce Madsen. Briant Pledger and David were ordained Teachers. The building program was given the sustaining vote of the ward last Sunday and it was announced that they are hoping to be able to break ground tor a new chapel in April. Seventeen Explorer boys and their leader, Ray Crouch, went rabbit hunting recently around Utah Lake near Provo, Utah. Other adult Supervisors for the trip included Tom Lusk and Kelly Rees. EIGHTH WARD Debra Ann Nielson was baptised last Saturday and confirmed a Borne. NINTH WARD Elder James Meldrum who left for his mission to England returned Sunday to give his mission report to the ward members and gave a most interesting talk. Elder Meldrums family moved to Cedar City while be was away. Penny Keyes furnished special music for the meeting. She played an organ solo. Some changes have been made in the Sunday School. Lila Smith and Gerald Bettridge were released from their positions as teachers and Ann and Eari Hen-ingwere sustained to fill the vacancies created. Penny Keyes was sustained as the organist for the Sunday school to replace No-r- e ne Wilson. Due to the conference on the second Sunday of the month, fast meeting has been postpond until Jan. 19. A baptismal service will be held on the 18th and anyone wishing to be baptised should contact counselor Orel Henderson. The relief society will meet Jan. 15 at 7:30 for their work day meeting. The women plan to learn how to make flowers from ribbon and possibly work on some crocheted stuffed animals. The singing mothers will practice just prior to this meeting at 6 45. Sincfe Martha Morrise and her children will be leaving within the next week or two to join her husband in New Orleans, the relief society will lose a very able lit' erature leader. Charlene Hard-castwill take over as literature leader and Ramona Bingham will fill the vacancy in the social science department.
