Mrs. Pitts a native of Easton, Penn., moved with her family to York, Neb., at the age of three. She lived in that locale until 1943 when she retired as district accountant for the Nebraska Power and Light Co, She was a charter member of Professional Womens Club, and was well known in musical circles ig the midwestern city. L. Waite and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lee. Mrs. Waite and the two boys extended their trip a couple of extra days. Mr. and Mrs, William West and family had a bit of mlrfor-tun-e when on Thursday they took a drive into the remote Monte Cristo mountain area. A blizzard trapped them along with another family from Ogden. The two men joined forces leaving. the entire group in one car they walked 13 miles in about 10 above zero weather, encountering a motorist who in turn notified the sheriff of Huntsville. The Jeep Patrol brought the group of eight children and four adults to safety. She married Franklin W. Pitts in 1912 in York, he died in 1918. Mrs. Ptts is an avid reader, church worker in St. Rose of Lima Catholic church, she does a great deal of handiwork for friends and relatives also keeps up a large correspondence with groups of friends she left behind. William Pitts is tin only son and there are four grand daughters. Heartiest of good wishes go out to a lovely lady. A1 Bangerter with his two brothers and two nephews of Bountiful went on a special deer hunt in the flaming Gorge area the day after Thanksgiving. The group had excellent luck as each one of the party bagged their deer, returning home on Saturday. Miss Joyce Bangerter has accepted a position with Sear in their Minneapolis, Minn., store. She is already making plans for a trip home for the Christmas holidays. A group of six ladies enjoyed a luncheon on Tuesday before the holiday at the Bon Marche tea room. Those attending were Della Harris, June Newey, Anne Sutton, Juanita Oviatt, Maude Driskill and Grace Jones. Members of the Alpha Lambda Chapter of Beta Sigma Phis are planning their next meeting and dinner party on Thursday at Ma's and Pa's. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Clark were honored Sunday evening at a farewell prior to their departure for a mission In the Southern States. The program consisted of numerous musical renditions by their sons and daughters. The Clarks are members of the Third Ward. Mrs. Clark (Fannie) as she is known by her many friends is a retired school teacher. Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Barlow and family were dinner guests on Thanksgiving day at the home of Mrs. Charles BushneQ. Percy Bateman along with his two brother made the long trek out to Locomotive Springs on Friday returning home that same evening with their .units of large duck. . Mr. and Mrs. Charles Driskill chose to spend the Thanksgiving weekend in the beautiful Tetons. They had dinner with Mrs. Mary Driskill in Jackson Hole also enjoyed visiting with a brother and other relatives returning home on Sunday. .
