Show Til PACE TWO HIGH SCHOOLS TO HOLD y MODERN UNITED NATIONS Five Weber County high schools will represent eight different nations in the Seventh Annual Model United Nations Assembly to be held on the University of Utah campus 1961, according to April Dr. Ray R. Canning, Director of Summer School, and Chairman of the U.N. Assembly. Ben Lomond High will represent Ethipia and Niger; Bonneville High, Pakistan; Ogden High, Japan and Tunisia; St. Joseph, Netherlands; and Weber High, Canada and Nationalist China. 14-1- agenda will be framed., In plenary sesssions and committee meetings during the two-daassembly, student delegates will debate and vote upon vital world issues as they see them. In addition fo Assembly delegates, each school will send two press representatives, and one student to study the Sp- ecial Agencies of the U.N. and to participate in a colloquim on other paths to peace. the United Nations and the Extension Division of the University of Utah. Final country assignments were made Friday, November 18, by Dr. Canning, who pointed out that many schools have been working for several months in preparation for the huge affair. Along with three other Weber County couples, Clyde and Helen Lowe have gone to Den-te- r to attend a convention of the Farm Bureau. 160 persons from Utah went by train to the convention.
