Mrs. Hill is going to be their teacher. The Black Burnt Cookies club under the direction of Mildred Smith held their meeting March 23. This is the 9 and 10 year old girls and of course they are taking cooking. Another 4 II club was organised on March 25 at the home of Thelma Bisel. This is the fourth year for these 4 H Hunters. They are taking 1st year sewing. Their leaders are as follows: president, Julie Isaacs; vice president, Susan Titensor; song and cheer leader, Loretta Bisel; secretary, Judy Mathis; reporter, Juanita Brake. Other members are Patsy Hill and Carol Fernelius. The M Men and Gleaner Girls were hosted to a stake hay riding party last Tuesday evening. There were 23 guests after-whicthey returned to the recreation hall and had refresht ments. A speedy recovery goe out to Del Clark of Altamont who is recovering from an operation last week. He is spending a few days here with his children before he returns home. Congratulations are in order for Mr. and Mrs. Marlow Poll who became grandparents for the first time with the arrival of a 6 lb. 8 oz. baby girl on March 28 to Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Dastrup (Linda Poll.) The physical activities gave way to the mental activities last week at Roy Junior High because it was the last week of the term. Students and teachers are worrying land wondering about the grades, which come out this Thursday. A new plan of collecting grades is used. The teachers fill out cards telling what each student earned, then they send the card to the pupils home-rooteacher. The proceeding terms the students went to each class collecting a grade each period. One of the reasons for this change over was for more learning time in class. Next Monday, April 4th, will be the annual girls' association Print Dress Day. A contest will be held for the most original and decorative dresses.
