Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ukena and family greeted their little baby girl on Thursday April 30. She weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. and has five proud big brothers an da thrilled big sister. People with birthdays the first part of May are as follows: Jeanette Isaacs on the 1st, Marvin Kapp, Julie Greer, Bette Titensor and Joseph Ray on the 5th; Jack Rupe and Jackey Clark on the 6th; Orin Jackson the 7th, Bernice Kendell on the 8th, Darrell Byram on the MR. AND MRS. Probably the largest single was the Dp vis County Nursery which was owned and operated by E. J. Harness and P. A. Dix, or Colonel Dix as he was affectionately called by his neighbors and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Coy and son of Provo visited over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Vern Coy and family. On Hast Sunday they had their baby boy named and Dale gave him the name of David Dale Coy. It was good to see the again. BEVERLY and Dick Warner gave their little daughter the name of Paula in the Peterson Ward Sunday afterwhich all of the Poll family gathered at their home for a buffet dinner and an after noon of visiting. Last Ftiday the Central Davis Jr. High School elected its student body officers for next year. I didnt get all the officers names but Barbara Poll was elected to the office of secretary. Congratulations Barbara. Graduation exercises for the Seminary students at Davis High School was held Saturday evening. A lovely program was outlined and carried out. Those graduating from Coy-famil- South Weber were bon Handrahan Gale. Francis Murray got special recognition for taking Seminary for four, years. ON FRIDAY evening all Seminary students had a party at Lagoon and everyone enjoyed the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Poll are visit-- ' ing at the home of a daughter Doris and Marvin Buck in Marriot while Aunt Stellas leg is getting better. She broke it in three places in a fall at her home recently. AT CLINTON school recently a junior pentathalon was held for all students to participate. They all had fun jumping, throwing and racing. Those coming off with honors were Brent Poll as first, Charles Poll with 4th place and Ricky Rupe in sixth. All of the winners went to Davis High on Tuesday to compete with the rest of Davis County. The annual night dance at Central Junior High on Friday evening was held and the theme was Balihi High. A queen was chosen to rule over it and honors came to Karen Gill for this experience.
