The buildings are all very modern ind a number of them have murals 'lcLirod on the outside walls. On the way to Acapuko they visited Cortes Palace at Cuernavaca. It was built in 1535 The cobblestoncd streets in Cucr-natac- a are ery narrow and here markthey have the old, open-ai- r ets which are no longer found in the capital and other large cities. These markets contaen colorful ,irras of fruits, flowers, textiles, baskets, ceramics and all of Mex-koinimitable arts and crafts. They v, sited two ancient cathedrals and spent New Years Eve in Tax-eo- , where the New Year was celebrated with a spectacular array of fireworks and bells from the cathedral. Tney enjoyed their few days at Acapulco, a beautiful sea side rel sort, which with its climate. The programs of typical Mexican dances and songs perform (d in the gay costumes of the region of the country where they originated were very colorful. The highlights of their Miani visit was a trip to the Seaquarium where giant porpoises and seals' performed and a boat cruise to the Parrot Jungle where trained ma- caws performed and a wrestling ti 1959 match was held between ,an alliga tor and a man, a most interesting spectacle. They also visited Arthur Godfreys Kenriworth Hotel on the Ocean at Miami Beach. Now Ill know what hes talking about said Mrs. Austin.
