| Show SESSION IS TOED senator returns to his farm at engery after a busy session at the state capital the sunday stage brought senatore rj brinkerhoff Bink erhoff and wife over from price on their way back to the farm at emery they stopped at Cast ledale until mon da and told many inquirers about the session just closed in response to a request he handed us the following let tei for publication to the people of the district in returning from the session of the utah legislature I 1 will say to the people of the senatorial district that I 1 feel under a deep obligation for the re they have allow ed me to assume for them and that I 1 hone they will be in a measure pleased with what I 1 ha e I 1 have not done all that I 1 should have done but have tried my best in this connection I 1 want to express my appreciation of the help and operation of the re presenta tives of the different counties in the d str ct they have worked hard for their constituents and in perfect har mony with ray efforts in the upper house through these efforts greater conces have been secured for the eastern of utah than ever before the bridges appropriated for are one of the good things we have accomplished at this session I 1 also feel that governor spry s doing all that he can to do the best for this section in fact I 1 have the kindest feelings for those who work ed with me during this session from the governor down the reservation relief fund was one of the hills that showed the good will of the state for the east ern section while the prohibition bill in which the people were so much interested is not all that we could have hoped for it is the best that we could get through this session whether or not it will be an improve ement over present laws on the t subject remains to be seen perhaps the on of the law as passed will reveal some things in regard to it that need changing by the next legislature there is this about it you will have a chance to ote on the proposition if the governor s agns gns the bill in all for different purposes in this district were passed amounting to which I 1 feel is about getting our share one thing I 1 feel crateful for is that my people had enough confidence in me not to send a committee to wait on me and see what I 1 v as doing and urge me to efforts along different lines I 1 feel honored by the i confidence and that in thia bartic ular my people have done well by me I 1 am going back to the farm at emery to live under the conditions I 1 havoc helped to make and expect to be a farmer among you from this time on with thinks to the governor dent and other senators and to the members of the house of re presenta tives for favors and to the people for their favors and confidence I 1 am S yours ALONZO brinkerhoff senator senatorial district distrct |
