BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROY CITY, UTAH: and held to be a part of said Roy Cityt Utah; and the inhabitants thereof are subject to the ordinances and regulations cf Roy City, Utah, and may enjoy the privileges thereof. Section 3. In the opinion of the City Council of Roy City, a public emergency exists in connection with the matters herein contained, and the Council hereby finds that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, health and safety of Roy City, that this Ordinance become effective immediately. Section 1. The following described territory is hereby annexed to Roy City, Utah, , A part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 21, Township 5 Section 4. The 5th grade class under the direction of Floyd Sucher was named winner. The winning entry was modeled on a February theme, including icy replicas of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and a large Valentine. Runners up were Carol Stoke's third grade class and Quinn Becksteads sixth grade class. Leading the Mothers Polio Drive scheduled for Thursday night between 7 and 9 p.m. are Mrs. Hugo MtTeller, Clearfield; Mrs. James F. Meadows, Sunset, Mrs. Edna Cook, Syramuse;7Mrs. Robert Caldwell, West Point and Mrs. Henry Beus, Clinton. Morris F. Swapp, Bountiful, foreman of the Davis County Mosquito Abatement District crews, and Mayor Michael F. Burson op Sunset attended the California Abatement Conference held in Fresno, Calif. Mr. Burson is Sunset City representative of the district and also will represent the county and the Clearfield Naval Supply Depot at the Conference. During Mr. s absence, Councilman John Nicholas acted as Sunset mayor. Open night at Sunset Ward Mutual last Tuesday night, the dancing couples enjoyed the evening dancing, by the record player. Pictures for Japan and France Near Completion Students in the 19 schools of Weber County are nearing completion of their pictures which are being drawn and painted on the International Art Exchange Project sponsored by the Roy Jaycees. Upon completion these pictures will be exchanged with the Hhone, France and Tokyo, Japan Jaycees who are collecting pictures from their schools for the exchange.
