Show I The By, Roy News EX The Roy First Wards Gold and ' Green ball has been postponed un till Saturday, Jan. 25th. That is, it is tentatively set for that date. At any rate, it will not.be held on the 11th as planned A definite date will be announced next week. Local couples at a recent home party at the Gorman Irwin residence were: Mr. and Mrs. Bert Herrick, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Woodland, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Eldredge, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hardy. The Testivlties took place in a gaily decorated basement. The deca beautiful orations including Christmas tree carried out a holiday theme. A buffet supper was served and dancing was enjoyed by about 13 couples. The Roy First Ward Relief Society has bad some changes made in the presidency. LaRue Schoen-felwas released as president, sustained in her place was Laura Homer. Lucille Molen was released as counselor, and sustained in her place was Doraline Roskelley. The visiting teachers were given new partners and their districts changed for the coming year. Sustained as new visiting teachers were ReNee Follett and Carol . Bell. Mr. and Mrs. George W. Moss had as their very welcome guests during the holidays, Mr. and Mrs. William G. Toothman and daughters of Sacramento, Calif. Mrs. Toothman will be remembered as the former Louise Moss. Of course Mrs. Moss sounded like the typical proud grandmother, she spoke of Mary Lou and Susie. The Social Hour Club met at the home of Mrs. Leda Hamblen Thursday at 2 p.m. Next Tuesday the Roy First Ward Relief Society will hold their Work and Business meeting at 10 a m. All the ladies of the ward are invited to attend. John Mitchell of the Goodfellow addition is at home recovering from a recent operation. We wish him a speedy recovery. They have one boy, Johnny. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Brown were recent visitors in Roy. They moved recently to Vernal. During their stay they were guests of honor at a buffet supper held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Bingham.
