OIL it is not generally known and ye t is still h fact that a heavy movement in the way of locating 1 lands has been going on for t me wayne coun ty utah where it is claimed there exi arf the greatest syi cl ne basin to be found n the rocky mountain region the field is located west of the colo rada river and from thirty five to forty miles northwest of the san juan oil fields in san juan county many utah are qu egiy acquin ing land in wayne county and but little has been made public regarding the oil pos ies of that section by far tl e greatest interest however is being taken bv eastern and western people in the local ty mentioned judg ng from the way the country is be ng taken up it would seem as if there would be a great deal of activity noticeable in wayne county this year and th bringing in of a well or two a gusher or even a good pump ng apropo would cause a great deal of ex ament regarding that region mm ing review
