Other items included three D.U.I. arrests, four drug arrests, and two warrant arrests. 04 D.U.I. Arrest. Debbie King of ' Mt. Carmel, Utah, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after being stopped on S.R. 89 at mile 123 for a speeding violation. After stopping King the reporting officer detected the odor of alcohol as well as other indicators of alcohol use. Field sobriety tests were conducted leading the officer to believe that King was impaired. Open alcohol containers were found in the vehicle and subject was operating a vehicle on a suspended license and with no vehicle insurance. Stop and arrest made at 2:58 in the afternoon. Traffic Accident. A 2002 Toyota SUV sustained $5,000 in damages after the driver lost control during icy road conditions. The vehicle crossed over opposing travel lanes and struck a guardrail. It then spun out of control back across travel lanes where it struck the hillside on the opposite side of the highway. Accident occurred at 8:30 p.m. on S.R. 14. 04 D.U.ITDrug Arrest.
