Show School SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS WEDNESDAY MARCH 19, 2003 N Dont stop dancing! have been practicing diligently for their upcoming dance as specialty part of the Larriette Review this Saturday, March 22, at 7 p.m. at Kanab High School. Don 't miss the fun or the great dancing performed by the Larriette Drill Team as they close out their 200203 year irrdance under the direction of Kim Quarnberg and Robin Coleman. Get your ticket early and avoid waiting to get in! Tickets can be purchased Donations to Governors Youth Council, YFP mentors from any Larriette for $4per person or pay $5 at the door. Competition In addition to donating over 1 00 quilts to Dr. Laura s My Stuff bags, local youth also distributed blankets and quilts routines, as well as other dances, will be performed including this years to kids here in Kanab and Fredonia. Members of the Governors Youth Council and several Youth and Families with escorts and the Little Larriettes. The Larriette Dads 01 Rodney - No such thing as a free lunch By Chick Nielsen Dixie State College East Dilworth Perkins, youve been retired for 15 years. When are you going to make it official? As most people retire, they take up hobbies . . . like collecting stamps, coins, butterflies, etc. All Dilworth will collect is dust. Dilworth has never spent much time daydreaming mostly because it would interfere with his naps I always get the feeling that someone spilled White Out(Wite Out) on Lynn Buttons brain. I think he gave up sanity for Lent. He often repeats himself for those who missed it the first time including himself. When he tries to clap he misses. Hey, Lynn, youre my kinda guy! I wont say that Cleve Bushnell is homely, but when he was bom, the doctor slapped his mother. In medical terms, you would call Cleve a placebo, a sugar-coate-d pill which does absolutely nothing . . . and romantic? Cleve is so that when his wife has a headache, he hides the aspirin. Guess thats why I like - - non-romant- K - ic you, Cleve. Suppose you were a dummy and suppose you were Rod Lathim but then, I repeat ... myself. The word aerobics came about when Karen Kelly decided, If were going to charge 10 dollars a month we cant call it jumping up and down. So, ever since, hes been stealing donuts from George Kelly and stuffing them in his pocket. Bob Wells is so old that when he started going to movies, James Earl Jones was a soprano. Bob always . wanted to be a preacher, but he didnt like the. idea of working on Sundays. I dont know which way Bob will eventually be going, but I do know that hes bought himself a set ofasbestos luggage. Reserve a room for me if you beat me there, Bob. Happy Valleyers, well run a CNA class just as soon as we can enroll the necessary 10. While we cant offer the class to high school students for $22, we do offer five Dixie State College credits towards a nursing career which other programs do not. Also, Workforce financial aid is available to qualified applicants looking only for a CNA license. Check with Kim Heaton here at Workforce about this. If a CNA certificate is just the first step on a nursing degree, PELL grants are available for qualified applicants. See 01 Rodney about this approach. Hey, come on!
