Cottonwood Meadow Moor Lions Holds Dance, Plans Lunch Mr. Herbert McKnight has received a transfer to Salt Lake City as Territory Manager for the Quaker Oats Company. Mr. McKnight who was Territory Manager with the company in Portland, Oregon, and his wife Janet, recently moved ihto their new home at 76 Butler Hill Drive. The couple have five children, Christine eron beth Host Ladies Black Cat Ball was the theme of the Meadow Moor Country Club danc.e which was held Friday evening, Much Members and 13th. their guests were invited to atend. Lloyd Kay In Army od Lloyd Kay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alden Kay, 7221 Chris Lane, left by plane Tuesday, March 10th for the Army Base at Ft. Poke, Louisiana. He has been assigned as a cook and expects to be in training for about five months. Police Mutual Aid Auxiliary, m To Meet Monday The monthly meeting of the Police Mutual Aid Auxiliary will be held Monday, March 23rd at the home of Mrs. Eugene S. This is a facility .designed to cater to the needs of residents of Salt Lake City and (County who are over 60 ya&rp of age, this building wasuilt specifically for them. Mr. Faddis said people meet there for recreation and friendship on an Individual and group basis. It is the hope that the Senior Citizens Center will become the hub of Senior in the City and Activities County and will play an integral part in making the senior years truly the golden ones. The facility has grown from five original clubs in 1960 which met at the Elders Citizens Center, to twenty two, "wlth a commensurate membership. Realizing the neqtf for a larger facility, the Salt Lake Community Welfare Council, the Council of Aging, the Salt Lake County Recreation Department and the Salt Lake City Parks Department have and made worked together possible this new facility which opened in June 1963. Country Qub Elects Officers A special board of directors meeting was held at the Willow C reek Country Club for the newly elected officers of the club. Joe R. Greaves has been named president, replacing Lee K. Nicholson Jr. , past president. Robert L. Salmon was named William E. Myrlck, seeretary and Dali Bennett, treasurer. Mr. Bennett, Blair Smith and SamueT Bernstein were elected to three year terms of the board of directors, and Lee K. Nicholson, George B. Gudgell and Merlin G. Benson to one year terms.
