Show vrci 0061 Beaver County celebrated Pioneer Day with two big parades and lots of food, fun and activities, horse races and rodeo. Both Milford and Beaver had nice parades with lots of beautiful floats, followed by programs. Then in Beaver the activity shifted to the armory for a big ham dinner with all the trimmings and games and races in the park for kids. Milford moved to the swimming pool park for food and game concessions, races, a greased pig chase and free swim. An excellent crowd was on hand in both communities. Then most of the activity shifted to the Beaver Race Track for the final day of the I Jons Dairy District Derby, and the Beaver Riding Club Rodeo that evening, capped off by a huge fireworks display. Somehow in between all this, people found time for reunions, attending the courthouse theatre of You Can't Take It With which continues through You July 28th.
