Show XJ '31 Thursday, February 9, 1984 Pag There Is no question that both teams were aware of the Importance of the game. Enterprise alone with Kanab shared a tie with Milford frr second place In the League. Even though the anemic first half shooting for the Tigers left some doubt as to the outcome of the game, It was their tenacious defense that pulled the victory out 53 to 49 over the Enterprise Wolves. Trailing throughout the entire first half was the result of poor shooting for most of the Tigers. Even though they trailed at half time 25 to 20, it was "big John Dotson who carried the offensive load as he was 5 of 6 from the floor and 5 of 5 from the foul line for 15 points, which was three -fourths of the Tiger total offense. However, it was a total team effort on defense that kept the game close. In the third quarter, the Tigers closed the. gap to two at 36 to 34. Enterprise Increased their lead to as many as eight during the fourth frame, but Mark Yardley with his highly competitive spirit came back and "nailed five of his last six shots to bring the Tigers back. Also down the stretch, David Gay hit some key buckets to go along with John Dotson's most efficient scoring night to wrap the game up with a 53 to 49 score.
