Homosexuals are not crimes, homosexuals are people. In this valley, we are under tremendous pressure due to the major religion pre-regist- being almost totally sexually oriented. This is particularly destructive to the young lesbian or homosexual. Imagine the effect on any young person of being publically defined as a criminal. It is true that in this state homosexual solicitations and homosexual sexual behavior are illegal - for that matter, it is illegal in this state for a woman to be tatooed or for girl to sell Ridiculous laws exist a newspapers. and it is the responsibility of all citizens to replace them with enforceable laws. We suffer in this state not from the laws, which are rarely enforced against us, but from the social attitudes that condemn 15 of the population without really knowing why they do. It is particularly painful to find ourselves condemned by the only newspaper in town that prints news of concern to the people. Sincerely, Mary A. Heath addresses group.
